“Empowering Yourself: On the Slopes, in Life and in your Career”
February 25 - March 1, 2010
The Aspen Divas and a team of experienced executive and life coaches bring you a unique experience in skiing - combining the practice of skiing with the art of risk taking and learning. Challenge your current paradigm of what is possible for you in life using the slopes as a tool to support you in your growth. Your coaches will ensure that this is achieved in a safe and supportive environment, allowing you to expand your comfort zone effortlessly.
The focus of this workshop will be to give participants a skiing experience with a difference. It is based on the premise that people learn best when they trust each other, and feel safe to try out new ideas without judging themselves or being judged by others. The workshop brings together the practice of skiing with the art of learning.

To continue to improve in life, at work, and on the slopes, you need to get comfortable taking risks. The keys to getting comfortable are to learn the boundaries of your stretch zone and to form a supportive group of Pacing Partners.
A core principle of this program is that self-understanding is the springboard for individual growth. The goal of this session is to unlock the personal potential of each participant through increased understanding of their approach to taking risks and managing stress reactions. We believe learning how to manage pressure and stress is critical to enhancing one’s ability to take risks with confidence.
You will get there by reviewing the results of your Sports Grid which is based on the renowned Birkman Method, one of the most respected and valued behavioral assessments tools. It will provide insights into your ideal environment for expanding your boundaries in terms of support and motivation from others and what happens when your needs don’t get met under stress. Individuals will develop strategies and tactics based on their Sports Grid for how to leverage your strengths and interests and practice to their motivational needs which will make taking risks easier and more enjoyable.
