| April 10 Some Teams arrive and check into hotels. 8:00-10:00am All Local Team Registration (Gondola Plaza Ticket Office, Aspen) Teams hand in any unpaid payment, waivers signed by all team members, music CD and music sheets, W9's, and Team Bio sheet Teams receive packets: with credentials, updated schedule, lunch tickets, town info, apres ski info and awards entry and drink tickets. 9:00-4:00pm Teams are welcome to train on any slope on Aspen, Highlands, or Snowmass Mountain. The competition hill, North American will NOT be closed for teams only. Please manage traffic to ski your passes safely waiting for public to be clear. Apres ski @ Limelight Lodge, 355 S. Durant Avenue, Aspen April 12 Official Training day More teams arrive and check into hotels. 900am on Teams loading the Aspen Gondola 10:30am-2:30pm North American Competition hill is open for team training the figures. The slope will be roped and CLOSED off to the public. However, please watch for people entering from Pumphouse road bottom right of the course. Please respect all teams and come by and sideslip after every third pass on the course. 2:30pm North American closure will be removed, Teams are welcome to continue to train on North American taking precautions with Public Traffic 5:00pm Judges meeting (Aspen Locker Conference Room) 5:45pm Coaches meeting (Aspen Gondola Ticket Office Lobby) 3:00pm onward Apres ski @ 39 Degrees, Sky Bar, Sky Hotel, 709 E. Durant Avenue, Aspen the evening of April 12th. The Fourth pass start order will be reverse points order, lowest to highest after 3rd pass. 7:20am Volunteers meet Chief of Course in the Gondola Plaza, then load Gondola at 7:30am 9:00am Teams loading the Aspen gondola at opening time 9:45am Coaches meeting on the deck of Bonnies, to confirm start time 9:15am-10:00am Team training on any other run on Ajax/Aspen. (Teams must ski outside of comp run) North American - Competition hill will be CLOSED for training to all teams by penalty of DSQ. 10:00am First pass, Show Pass unique start order by draw Coaches meeting immediately following the 1st pass to discuss pace of schedule and side slipping. 11:10am School figure Pass unique start order by draw Immediately following school figure pass, 2nd half of teams for 3rd pass start order, teams 8 though 14 pick up bag Lunch at Bonnie's at the base of the competition hill. 12:20pm Third pass, Show Pass unique start order by draw Immediately following third pass first half of start order for the 3rd pass, teams 1 through 7 pick up bag Lunch at Bonnie's at the base of the competition hill 1:45pm Fourth pass, Show Pass (can be a repeat) Reverse start order of accumulated points after 3 passes 245pm on hill Announcement of Winners 4:00pm Start of Apres ski party and awards @ Limelight Lodge,, Monarch Room, 355 S. Monarch Street, Aspen 5:00pm Awards and prizes presentations. Please be there on time! 6:00pm on More partying and dancing @ TBA Note: Teams will be told by the starter when to come back up to the top of the course for side slipping after their pass. |
