WHO ARE THE DIVAS? Aspen Team Diva is a group of highly respected women Ski Instructors within the Ski and Snowboard Schools of Aspen. The Divas are one of the longest running women's synchronized ski teams. Since 1998, Aspen Team Diva train and compete in the World Synchronized Ski Championships held each April. The Divas are providing a venue for Women in the School to improve and up the skill level of the Women Pros by training with other strong women. In 2011 the team was placed 1st in the Women’s division for the 8th time and 3rd overall. The Divas took over hosting the Championships as The Aspen World Synchro Championships event here in Aspen since 2003 as well as a National Event in 2000. Since 2006, the Divas have been holding the Diva Ski/Life Coaching Week. This unique program provides each participant to take a self assessment instrument, The Birkman, and an opportunity to combine the practice of skiing with the art of learning while skiing with a Diva coach and private sessions with a Life Coach. The Team is comprised of not only top US pros but also many highly accomplished International athletes from such countries as Canada, Argentina, Australia, Germany, Chile, and New Zealand. Aspen Team Diva is currently filing an application for Non-Profit status and are very excited as this will enable the team, the event and the sport of synchronized skiing to grow!!!
